It's quite funny how this is something I've been feeling my whole life. Like I am supposed to be doing something more, something, well...anything. I could never really describe this or put it into words but I know God has set me aside for something great. I talked a lot about this to Kate while I was in Honduras. She has the same feelings and I wonder how many other people share the same. That, through God, we are destined for greatness. I mean he expects nothing less of me or anyone.
Not everyone is up for it but I am. I want to do more I want to make a difference. I see all these problems and no one is really doing anything about it. So let it start with me. It's time for Christians to stop going with the flow whether it's the flow of lukewarm Christians or the world. We need to start going with God's flow which should never really be a flow. It should be more like going against the flow.
I mean, honestly, the Christian walk should not be easy. Look at any of the disciples or people in the book. None of them had easy comfortable lives. We cannot settle into an easy carefree lifestyle. We need to be fighting for Christ. Fighting. We need to pick up our cross and carry it for the Lord. He did the same for us. Literally and figuratively. Not just a few days a week or whenever we are moved to. We need to constantly bear the cross for God because Jesus bore a cross his entire life and we should do the same. If we are to follow his example, why do so many Christians set their crosses down and relax in the shade watching the world go by.
We cannot stop. We cannot. We have to pick them up and fight for God. This world is not getting better and what are you doing to change that. Are you doing anything to bring the greatness and happiness that God has given to you to others? I know I haven't been and I know I must. I MUST. I must do something. Anything. I'm tired of giving in to the world and falling short of God's plan for my life. It's time for me to step up regardless of the consequences. I only pray you will do the same.
