About a year ago I got a stress fracture in my left foot and the doctor gave me a lovely boot to wear. I began wearing it at the end of summer and at the beginning of the school year, I wore it still.
During class one day, a girl commented on how it looked like a moonboot. Another student started calling me that and the name quickly caught on.
Moonboot became my official nickname the day one of my professors called me moonboot without realizing it.
Moonboot expanded to more than just a name. It now has its own theme song and logo. Rumors say there is a music video in the works involving an orange jumpsuit with white go go boots.
But that's just a rumor...
